This workshop is a part of CRAFT’s Maker in Residence program. Jayashree Iyengar, owner of Popping Mustard Seeds is completing a residency this Fall.
A relaxing afternoon with a cup of flavorful Indian tea (masala chai) and a snack is our goal for this class. You will learn about the various ingredients that go into making masala chai and various combinations of those ingredients. You will also learn how to make masala chai with one or more of those ingredients and a simple snack to go with it.
Here is a chance for you to get answers to all those questions you’ve always had about Indian cooking. Submit your questions ahead of time or ask them live during a virtual chat with our Indian chef Jay Iyengar, one of our current Makers in Residence. She’ll walk you through the specifics and complexities of Indian cuisine.
