Melissa A. Click
Melissa A. Click is an Associate Professor in Communication Studies at Gonzaga University. Her research interests center on popular culture texts and audiences, particularly texts and audiences disdained in mainstream culture. Her scholarship has been published in Environmental Communication, Television & New Media, the International Journal of Cultural Studies, Men & Masculinities, Popular Communication, Popular Music & Society, and Transformative Works & Cultures. She is the editor of the international journal Communication, Culture & Critique and of the edited collection Dislike, Hate, and Anti-fandom in the Digital Age (NYU, 2019). She is the co-editor of The Routledge Companion to Media Fandom (2018) and Bitten by Twilight (Peter Lang, 2010). She is a regular at her local farmer’s market and is an avid home canner.
