Laura Valentine

Food Systems Research Program Manager

Laura Valentine spent their early career in higher ed IT, where they got their start in quantitative and qualitative data analysis. They decided to change fields and now hold a MS in Sustainable Food Systems from Green Mountain College (now the Green Mountain Center for Sustainability at Prescott College), where they did their graduate work on food systems measurement throughout the United States. They are a contributing member of the Pittsburgh Food Policy Council, and are the data coordinator for the Greater Pittsburgh Food Action Plan. They have been with CRAFT since November 2019, with a focus on data governance, storage, and outreach around CRAFT's data holdings.
